In Charlotte Amalia the old buildings of Antonio Jarvis School is left behind and ask for new forces and renovation.
The school is situated close to the city center and rests on the steep hills of the mountanious green landscape of the island.
My program suggests a new workshop space for the local children and youth in order to create a new social community, where young people can gather and socialize, and receive education.
Further more the project suggest a local botanical garden with a café on the top plateau of the site, where noise from the streets is absent and the local people can spend their time socializing while enjoing the nature of the island.
The program aims to make the old Jarvis School a new social platform of the people of St. Thomas where a new workshop space can join the groups of young people and offer education and activities.
